Medicare, Explained Simply

Clear, honest guidance through Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement, no pressure, no jargon.

Turning 65 or exploring your Medicare options can feel overwhelming, with Parts A, B, C, D, enrollment periods, and dozens of plan choices. I help break it down in plain language, so you understand your options before you decide anything.

The Basics: Parts A, B, C & D

Medicare Part A covers hospital care, Part B covers doctor visits and outpatient care, Part C (Medicare Advantage) is an alternative way to receive your Part A and B benefits through a private insurance company, and Part D covers prescription drugs. Understanding how these fit together is the first step to choosing the right coverage for you.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare, often combining hospital, medical, and prescription drug coverage into one plan, sometimes with added benefits like dental, vision, or hearing. Plans and costs vary by company and by area, which is where comparing your options matters.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

A Medicare Supplement plan works alongside Original Medicare (Parts A & B) to help cover some of the out-of-pocket costs Medicare doesn’t pay, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. It gives you more predictable costs and flexibility in choosing your own doctors.

Why work with an independent broker?

I’m not tied to one insurance company. As an independent broker, I compare plans across multiple companies to help you find coverage that actually fits your health needs and budget, not just whatever one company happens to be selling.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
